Help Steve and Alex become Crystal Quest Conquerors in this exciting Minecraft-inspired digital math escape room! The magical Number Crystals have been scattered across the land, and students must solve math challenges to recover them before the power of the Crystal Realm is lost forever.
As students travel through the Mine Cave, Forest Trail, Meadow Field, Snowy Mountain, and Redstone Ruins, they'll complete interactive math challenges, unlock clues, and collect crystals while practicing essential 3rd grade math skills.
This immersive digital adventure combines problem-solving, critical thinking, and standards-based math practice into one unforgettable learning experience.
The Adventure
The Crystal Realm is in danger! The powerful Number Crystals have been lost, and only brave adventurers can restore their magic. Students must journey across five Minecraft-inspired locations, solving math puzzles and collecting crystals to become true Crystal Quest Conquerors.
Can they recover all the crystals before the realm loses its power forever?
3rd Grade Math Skills Covered
Students will practice:
• Multiplication and division word problems within 100
• Understanding arrays and equal groups
• Area and perimeter
• Fractions and equivalent fractions
• Comparing fractions by reasoning about their size
• Rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and 100
• Addition and subtraction within 1,000 using word problems
• Telling time to the nearest minute and solving elapsed time problems
• Measurement and converting units of time
• Scaled bar graphs and picture graphs
• Money word problems
• Number lines and measuring lengths to the nearest fourth inch
How It Works
Students enter the digital escape room and click START to begin their quest.
As they progress through the adventure, students solve math challenges that reveal clues and unlock new locations. Each completed puzzle brings them closer to recovering the missing Number Crystals and conquering the Crystal Realm.
Most students complete the escape room in approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on ability level and whether they work independently or with partners.
